Seagrass restoration and dugong conservation was organized for 152 trainees of Tamil Nadu Forest Academy, Coimbatore of Forest Department.

July 2019 - Orientation for Forest Department Trainees (Forest Guards)
Orientation on Seagrass mapping, restoration, dugong ecology, conservation, rescue and release methods were explained to 590 trainees (12 batches) from Tamil Nadu Forest Department in July 2019.
The trainees learned about acoustic survey methods of seagrass, using ecofriendly seagrass restoration with bamboo and coconut ropes, sea cow conservation, ecology and biology, ten years of effort of OMCAR in dugong rescue, release and stranding response.
